Ms. Austin holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Columbia University and a BSBA in Marketing and Business Law from Boston University.  She was also selected in 2007 by Harvard Business School to attend its Executive Education program on business acumen and trends.  Carolyn is founder and president of Wellness Choices and Sage Transitions, which designs and delivers health and aging programs to corporate and community groups and individuals.  The program helps seniors transition from their homes to appropriate care facilities.   She also co-founded and was President of the Columbia Women in Business (CWIB) club.

Carolyn brings a depth of experience with corporate and financial institutions and consulting for multinational firms, private enterprises and entrepreneurships.  She was product manager for Citibank in cash management, corporate trust and M&A, and for Chase Bank in consumer credit re-branding and advertising.  As Business Development and Strategic Planning Director for Citi Cards, she identified and tested long term revenue initiatives, which included introducing Cards on the internet.  As a consultant, Carolyn developed profit centers that launched products for JP Morgan, The Four Seasons Hotel and Digital Sound.  Most of her engagements have involved branding, product launching, repositioning, building share, service and revenues. Her consulting experience has drawn heavily on her marketing orientation and sensitivity to buy-side behavior patterns, especially in the consumer sector.  Early in her career, Carolyn gained valuable experience with Corning, Procter & Gamble and Unilever, with whom her innovative positioning and packaging for Lipton’s first herbal tea line won a packaging award.
