Over recent years, we have added several focus areas to the GCaps team, in order to keep pace with business opportunities - both domestic and international - as such opportunities presented themselves. Accordingly, we dedicated a corporate finance "desk" - headed by Al DeCuir, and then joined by Todd Smith. Then came a special attention on energy products and JPP Energy, LLC, headed by Howard Thompson. More recently, Mari Candelore was named to head up a "Life Sciences" unit, to address the growing (and changing) field of health care and medical sciences. (All of these additions are covered elsewhere on this site.) Then, recognizing the dynamic activity in corporate reorganization and restructuring, we added an association with Vepeca, LLC, headed by Milos Fojtu, with whom associates in GCaps have enjoyed business relationships over the years. Milos brings his special skills and experience in the fields of mergers and acquisitions, management and other buyouts, select industry "roll-ups" and trade sales. And he does this on a vibrant international scale. Vepeca is a boutique business development firm focused on special situation investments, mergers, acquisitions and credit.
